WYOMING, MICH. - Two of the hottest teams in West Michigan, Allendale and Kelloggsville, opened the playoffs against each other Friday night. Kelloggsville, the OK Silver champions, won eight straight following a loss in week one. Allendale's upset of Grand Rapids West Catholic gave them a six game winning streak and a share of the OK Blue title.
The Falcons lead 21-7 at the half before going on to win 35-19. Both teams traded turnovers in the third quarter with Javian Willis intercepting Allendale's Colton Kloote. The Falcons got the ball back when Tommy McCullough picked off Alex Guzman in the endzone.
Thomas Griggs scored for the Rockets in the 4th quarter to cut their deficit to 21-13, but the Falcons marched down the field and Owen Burk punched in a short touchdown as Allendale would put the game away late.
