Defensive score leads Forest Hills Northern to comeback win

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Forest Hills Northern kept their playoff hopes alive on Friday night with a come from behind win over Greenville.  The 27-16 win leaves both teams at 5-4 with a chance to qualify for the postseason.

The Huskied led 6-0 after one on a 3 yard TD run from Connor Bruinius.  Brandon Parris put Greenville on the board making a tackle in the end zone for a safety. Then Cal Syrjala put the Yello Jackets up 9-6 with a 45 yard run.  Forest Hills Northern Quarterback Chase Morello found William Hawkins on an 18 yard TD pass to give FHN a 13-9 halftime lead.

Greenville would retake the lead at 16-13, on a 10 yard pass from Syrjala to Noah Greenway.  the Huskie D would stiffen after that, and get in the scoring as Anthony Green scooped up a fumble and ran into the endzone.

FHN put the game away in the fourth as Morello found William Hawkins for a 30 yard score and a 27-16 win.
