Fores Hills Eastern shuts down Wyoming in second to win

Wyoming @ FHE

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Forest Hills Eastern denied the Wyoming Wolves their sixth win and an automatic spot in the MHSAA playoffs with an upset on Friday night.

Wyoming controlled most of the first half and 14-7. Donnie Alford and Jeremiah Purnell had rushing touchdowns for the Wolves.  While Caden Peters scored for the Hawks.

The Hawks defense stiffened and didn't allow Wyoming to score in the second half.  FHE received touchdowns from Ben VanSolkema in the third quarter and Peters second score of the night in the fourth quarter to win 21-14.

The Hawks finish 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the OK Gold.  Wyoming now has to wait to see if they qualify for the playoffs finishing 5-4 overall and 2-4 in conference.
