Forest Hills Central wins first regional title since 1995

Highlights from Forest Hills Central vs. Traverse City Central

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Forest Hills Central used a big second quarter to advance to the state semifinals for the first time since 1995.

Traverse City Central opened the scoring with a 28 yard field goal from Gabe Pickett for a 3-0 lead at the end of one quarter.

Luke Majick and Tate Hallock gave the Rangers the lead early in the second quarter as they teamed up for a 58 yard touchdown pass.

Majick's keeper later in the quarter made it 14-3.  The Ranger defense stood tall the rest of the night and added to the scoring when Kade Shomin intercepted a pass and took it back for a touchdown to make the score 21-3 at the half.

Majick added a touchdown run in the second half as the Rangers went on to win 28 to 10.

They face Livonia Franklin in the semifinals next Saturday.
