The offseason coaching carousel is in full swing in West Michigan.

WYOMING, Michigan – Wyoming high school has named Irvin Sigler III as their new head football coach and Dean of Students.  Sigler comes to WHS from Hope College (Division III - MIAA) where he served as offensive coordinator.

Sigler has experienced success at both the high school and collegiate levels.  Prior to joining the staff at Hope College, he was the assistant head football coach as well as an assistant track coach at Grand Rapids Christian schools (2013-15).  Sigler served as Head Football Coach at Jenison High School (2008-12), Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia (2005-07), Grandville High School (1998-2004) and Cadillac High School (1993-97).  Over the years, Coach Sigler has led his teams to multiple playoffs appearances and conference championships.  He plans to bring this same success to Wyoming High School.  In addition to his head coaching duties, Sigler is an educator, he has experience teaching both physical education and Social Studies, and has developed comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.

“I’m really excited because of the sense of community here.  This is the place that I want to be and I am thrilled about the students I get to work with,” said Coach Sigler.

Wyoming Public Schools Athletic Director, Ted Hollern, on the hire, “outside of getting an excellent football coach, one of the things that is most exciting is the additional things that Coach Sigler brings to the table.  His leadership, academic and citizenship programs will be of great value to our entire student body.  He will also play a significant role in the continued development of our students for life beyond Wyoming High School.  He will be preparing them to be good citizens which is what we want from all of our teachers, coaches and staff.”
