Kent City clinches playoff spot with big win

KENT CITY, MICH. - The Kent City Eagles are going to the MHSAA playoffs for the first time since 2001.  The Eagles already clinched a share of the Central States Activities Association Silver title.

Friday night the Eagles started off fast as Dennis Carr found the end zone in the opening minute.  Carr's second scoring run made it 14-0, before the Lions got on the board.

Late in the second Kent City's Brandon Mathieu found Jace Dailey for a scoring strike as the Eagle win 42-20.

Kent City is now 6-2 overall, they ended CSAA-Silver play with a 4-1 record.
