Ravenna's season ends at the hands of Pine River

RAVENNA, MICH. - It just wasn't their day. The offseason as begun for the Ravenna Bulldogs after a 42-14 loss in the Regional Finals to Pine River.

The Bucks made the 80 mile trip from Osceola County for their first ever matchup with the Dogs. And they weren't leaving Muskegon County without a win.

Mason Powell was a one-man wrecking crew for the Bucks, throwing for one touchdown and running in three others. Oh, by the way, he also kicks and returns kicks for Pine River.

Ravenna has their own superstar. Camron Passenier scored two touchdowns for the Dogs, one on an interception return and another on a quarterback sneak. It just wasn't enough to lead his team to victory.

The Dogs have a lot to be proud of, though. The 2016 campaign was a six-win improvement from the 2015 squad. And Ravenna made the Regional Final for the first time since 2010.
