West Catholic uses big fourth quarter to beat Catholic Central

GRAND RAPIDS - The first meeting between Grand Rapids Catholic Central and Grand Rapids West Catholic since 2009 had first place in the OK Blue at stake.

The first half was a defensive battle, neither team was able to get in the end zone, but both kickers were able to hit a field goal making it 3-3.  West Catholic's Liam Putz scored the only points of the 3rd quarter on his second field goal.

The Falcons broke the game open in the fourth, Gaetano Vallone connected with Sam Neville on a 90 yard score to make it 13-3.  The Vallone capped the scoring with a scoring run as West Catholic moves to 5-0 in the OK Blue and 7-1 overall, with a 20-3 win.  The Cougars fall to 4-1 & 7-1.
