The Eagles start strong against the Sailors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WZZM) -- Grand Rapids Christian put the first 21 points on the board Friday night when they took on South Christian.

The Eagles had one TD in the first quarter.

Lukas Thompson ran for 28 yards and, later, Davaunte' Dickens ran for 24 yards to add 14 points before halftime.

South Christian started to come back in the second half of the game.

They got on the scoreboard in the third quarter when Jon Wassink made a touchdown pass to Geff Plasman.

Both teams scored in the fourth quarter but Grand Rapids Christian held off South Christian 28-14 in game one.
