Junior Pacers win championship

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Junior Pacers are a wheelchair basketball team made up of 15 to 18 year olds. This past weekend they traveled to Louisville, Ky. for the national tournament -- and won!

The Grand Rapids team won the championship game with a final of 54-36.

Tanner Gentry was named Championship Game MVP and tournament first team, Gabe DenBraber was named most sportsmanlike for the tournament, while Natalie Wright took home first team academics and first team women honors.

Last week we brought you the story of the adult wheelchair basketball team, the Grand Rapids Pacers. They also traveled to Louisville, Ky. for nationals. They came home with a 12th place finish.
