Annual 'Teddy Bear Toss' at the Griffins game

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Grand Rapids Griffins fans headed to Van Andel Arena tonight should bring one extra item to their seat -- a teddy bear.

The annual Teddy Bear Toss benefiting Hug-A-Bears of Kent County is back. Fans are encouraged to bring new, store-tagged teddy bears and stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after the Griffins score their first goal.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. The Griffins are hosting the Mantioba Moose.
