Matthew Ford scored twice in the second period but it wasn't enough as the Wolves beat the Griffins 6-3 on Friday night at Van Andel Arena.
Chicago ld 1-0 at the first intermission thanks to a Tomas Hyka goal.
Ford tied the game 1-1 with his first goal of the second period, then tied the game again 3-3 in the final moments of the second period.
The Wolves scored three times in the final period to pull away for a 6-3 victory.
The Griffins played their third straight game without injured forwards Matt Puempel and Matt Lorito, while Turner Elson missed his fifth consecutive game due to illness.
