Rockford High School senior Kayla Tykosky
ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) WZZM and Meijer are pleased to recognize Rockford High School senior Kayla Tykosky as our Meijer Scholar Athlete of the Week for the week of December 12th.
Kayla is a two-sport letter-winner at Rockford playing basketball and softball. Described as a "mother hen" on the softball team, she has earned All-District and "most improved" honors. Kayla maintains a 3.6 grade point average and tells us she is considering Grand Valley State University and other schools to continue her education.
Kayla says her real passion is television production. She's involved in Rockford's TV Studio course in which she gets hands-on training shooting and editing video. Kayla and her classmates report on a variety of on-campus happenings and put together news stories in class.
Keep up the good work Kayla and maybe you'll be working at WZZM 13 someday!
