MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Witnesses say a confrontation between teenagers escalated into gunfire and left a bystander shot in the leg.
It happened around 2:45 p.m. Friday at Jefferson St. and W. Columbia Ave. in Muskegon Heights.
Witnesses tell WZZM 13 News two teenagers were shooting at a third boy. One of the shots hit a fourth teen in the leg. Neighbors say the victim, who was on crutches,hobbled away from the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Police would not give us any information about the incident, but neighbors say the boy was already recovering from a gunshot wound from another incident in the last two weeks.
