ALLENDALE, Mich. (WZZM)- Grand Valley State sophomoreGiancarlo Brugnoni put his place in the Laker baseball record books Saturday. The first baseman swatted four home runs in four consecutive at bats in a doubleheader as the Lakers pounded Tiffin. Grand Valley has won eleven straight games overall.

Brugnoni is the first Laker ever with four homers in a doubleheader. the first Laker with eleven total bases in a single game, the first Laker with consecutive multi-homer games, and the first Laker with three multi-homer games in the same season. Hehomered twice April seventh against Saginaw Valley State. "The first two home runs, I though I was having a really good day," Brugnoni toldWZZM Monday. "The third and fourth home runs, I was like, 'Geez.' The ball looked like a beach ball I was seeing it so well."

Brugnoni Monday was named GLIAC player of the week for his performance.
