Cody is one of the top students at Hopkins High School with a 3.99 grade point average and overall class ranking of third.

Cody tells WZZM he would like to attend Grand Valley State and enter into the nursing profession. He lists AP chemistry as his favorite subject.

A football fan and player since his early days, Cody says he got a taste of Viking football and was hooked forever. "I was a waterboy back in 2002 which was the second year that we went to the Silverdome (state championship game). Ever since then I've just really loved football. I'm a big guy and I love being able to hit people," he says with a smile. Cody is enjoying an undefeated senior season through seven weeks with his teammates. "We're all friends. We've been together since elementary school and they're all fun to be around."

Away from school and sports, Cody lists "Remember the Titans" as his favorite movie and enjoys listening to country music.

Congratulations and continued success to Cody Brainard fromWZZM and Meijer!
