MUSKEGON, Mich (WZZM) -- The downtown Muskegon retail incubator got a big financial booston Tuesdayfrom Consumers Energy.

The utility company presented the business program with a check for $125,000. The money will be used to help finish construction on Russell Block.

So far, three businesses have committed to that space. Terry MacAllister, an owner of one of those businesses says he hopes to now open in mid-April of 2013.

David Mengebier of Consumers Energy says, "If business is growing here in Michigan, if communities are healthy and vibrant, then that helps Consumers Energy to be around for another 125 years."

When Russell Block Market opens it will house Muskegon's first brewery, a kitchen supply store, and a speciality coffee business.
