GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Six Grand Rapids students will get to see their ornaments on the National Christmas Tree.

The high schoolers flew to Washington DC this morning to attend the lighting of the tree. Every year, unique ornaments are made to hang on 56 trees that surround the National Christmas Tree.

The students from the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology made those for Michigan. The students were selected by Governor Snyder to create ornaments that reflect the holiday season in Michigan.
