ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) - Kevin Ritz receives visits from strangers during the winter. Some even come up to his door to ask what the big icy thing is in his front yard?

Ritz is continuing a tradition passed on from his Detroit-area father, of building what looks like an eight-foot mountain of glowing ice. He calls it an ice sculpture. He built it with some poles, mesh, a multi colored light box, and he uses a hose to build up the ice.
