According to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Rockford Superintendent Mike Shibler collects $290,445 dollars in salary and benefits each year. That's $10,000 less than the highest paid superintendent, at Utica Schools.
The leaders of Kalamazoo Public, Forest Hills, Grand Haven Public, Kent ISD, and Ottawa Area ISD are all in the top 15 for pay. The superintendent for Grand Rapids Public schools comes in at number 26.
According to the Mackinac Center, the average superintendent salary in Michigan is $115,000, with an additional $40,000 per year in other compensation.
