GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- In 10 days he'll be competing on 'Dancing With the Stars' but Friday night, D.L. Hughley took a break from training to entertain Grand Rapids.

Hughley is part of the All Star Comedy Jam, which is in town for LaughFest. Thousands of people filled Grand Rapids Community College's Ford Fieldhouse to catch his act.

Hughley will also compete against 10 other stars for the mirrorball trophy when 'Dancing With the Stars' begins on March 18. You can watch season 16 on WZZM 13.

Meanwhile, LaughFest organizers aren't counting out children. WZZM 13's Juliet Dragos emceed both "clean comedy" shows at the B.O.B. Friday night.

A total of eight comedians took the stage cracking jokes the whole family can enjoy.

LaughFest runs through March 17. The proceeds will go to Gilda's Club Grand Rapids to support cancer survivors.
