(WZZM)- Daylight Savings Time might make you lose an hour this weekend, but you can catch up on the fun at one of these local events!

Get yourgeek on at Van Andel Arena Saturday because it's Star Wars Night for the Griffins game!

This is the 7th year Star Wars characters have infiltrated thearena. WZZM's Star Wars fan Brent Ashcroft helps organize the event, which raises money for the Griffins Youth Foundation.

The Griffins play the Lake Erie Monsters Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $14.


Get ready to laugh your pants off at the Seriously Funny Adventure Challenge Sunday, hosted by Gilda's Laughfest.

Registration is free and open to everyone. Teams can register in groups of two or four.

You and your teammate(s) will be performing various silly challenges in the Downtown Grand Rapids area. Some of the challenges have physical aspects, others do not. Prizes will be given out to top competitors!

You can register online or on Sunday at the Ford Field House starting at noon. The Challenge starts at1 p.m.


Satisfy your savory-cravings at the Soup and Sliders Festival on Saturday.

Lakeshore restaurants will be competing to make the best soups and burges in town. And you are lucky enought to get to try them!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars is hosting the event, which startsat noon. Official judging happens at 4 p.m.

The Grand Rapids VFW is located at 20 N. First Street.
