GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A man is recovering after he was struck in the leg during a drive-by shooting in downtown Grand Rapids.

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Cherry Street and Ionia Avenue SW. There, someone fired shots from an SUV.

The victim told officers someone he didn't know picked a fight with him at the Rapid Transit Station. The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, police tracked the SUV to the 1400 block of Paris Avenue SE, in the Madison Square area. Police questioned three people and arrested them on unrelated charges.

The shooting remains under investigation.
