HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- An accident involving a minivan and a commercial truck has left one person dead.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. Friday on Chicago Drive and 112th Avenue.

Police tell WZZM 13 the driver of a minivan came to a stop at a traffic light, then rolled into the intersection and the path of a westbound truck.

The truck broad-sided the minivan on the driver's side, killing an elderly woman inside. No one else was hurt.

Authorities are investigating what caused the elderly driver to roll into traffic.

Drivers are advised to avoid Chicago Drive and 112th as there are intermittent lane closures.
