THORNAPPLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Investigators are trying to determine what led to the crash that killed a Barry County man.

The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. Saturday on Cherry Valley and Finkbeiner roads in Barry County's Thornapple Township. Deputies say a 28-year-old man from Middleville was driving south on Cherry Valley when he lost control of his car, veered off the road, and hit a utility pole and a tree before the vehicle flipped.

The driver was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and died at the scene. Investigators are withholding his name.
