LANSING, Mich. (WZZM) - Ottawa County Judge Kenneth Post has told the Michigan Supreme Court that he accepts the findings of the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission and is ready to serve a suspension from the bench.
Post's attorneys sent the memo to the court on March 22nd.
In the memo, Post admits that he was rude in court with an attorneyand regrets comments that he made. He requests the Supreme Court follow the MJTC recommendation that he be suspended for 30 days, so he can then return to the court.
In 2011, Post ordered defense attorney Scott Millard to jail for advising his client not to answer a question. The commission cited "irresponsible or improper conduct that eroded public confidence."
