ATLANTA, Georgia (WZZM) - University of Michigan basketball fans are dealing with a sad day Tuesday, the day after their Wolverines lost the NCAA national championship game to the Louisville Cardinals.

But, the Wolverines made themselves proud with their performance, putting up a good fight. But, in the end, they didn't have enough to defeat Louisville.

Michigan came out strong, at one point they were up 12 in the first half, but barely held on to a one point lead at halftime. But, in the second half, the Cardinals got up by as much as 10. Louisville won 82-76.

This was the first time Michigan was in the finals since the Fab 5 in 1993, and all five members of the Fab 5 were at the game in Atlanta.
