PLAINFIELD TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who resisted arrest for shoplifting and fled from deputies.

On March 28th, deputies were called to the Meijer store on Plainfield on reports a man took two bottles of alcohol from the store and fled. The responding deputy saw the suspect get on a Rapid bus and then tried to arrest him. The suspect resisted, pushed past the deputy and fled on foot.

The Rapid has made the attached surveillance video available to help identify the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 18 years old, 5'10", 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, grey hooded sweatshirt, and a black winter jacket.
