GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Satellite images released by NASA show the effects of the April flooding on Michigan.

The pre-flood image taken in early April by MODUS (the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) shows the normal flow of rivers across the state.

A subsequent image recorded by MODUS on April 21st shows the swollen Grand River. The river waters is much easier to see because of the volume of water and the greater width of the rivers. The flooding is also quite apparent in Saginaw.
