(WZZM) Grand Rapids, Mich- For the past century, the American Cancer Society has been helping people fight cancer.

On May 22nd, the organization is celebrating its 100th birthday with a little friendly and tasty competition.

Kyle Dutkiewicz, with the American Cancer Society,talks about the Finish the Bite event with the help of Jason Kakabaker, with Cakabakery, who shows you how to make gluten free cupcakes.

TheFinish the Bite event is Wednesday May 22nd, from 6:30-9:30pm, at the Centennial Country Club, 3361 Charlevoix Dr. SE, Grand Rapids. The event is open to the public for $20 admission.

The recipe for the gluten free cupcakes is below.

Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients:
- 1.5 c dark choc chips
- 1/4 c grapeseed oil
- 1/4 c agave nectar
- 1/4 t celtic sea salt
- 1/2 c almonds
- 3 eggs
- 1 T vanilla

Directions:
Grind up choc and almonds, pulse in eggs, oil and agave. Then pulse in vanilla and salt. Pipe batter into liners, quite full.
Bake at 350 for 12-15, enjoy!
