GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - More than 18,000 students across West Michigan are coming together in a special way today to show support for one another.

It's all part of the 2nd Annual Be Nice Day, organized by the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan in connection with Mental Health Month.

The foundation organized the effort in hopes of curbing bullying at school and promoting positive mental health.

Today, students are spelling out the words "be nice" at their schools and taking pictures from the sky. The flyovers were donated and began Friday morning in Byron Center and will wrap up in Zeeland.
