ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- The driver of an SUV that slammed into the back of a car near Forest Hills Central High School Thursday night, was distracted by her radio.

The crash happened on Hall Street near Fenridge Avenue in Ada Township.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the SUV was traveling east when she reach down to adjust her radio and failed to see the driver in front of her slowing down to turn left.

The force of the crash pushed the car into a yard and both vehicles rolled over. The car came to rest on its roof while the SUV flipped on its side.

The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but has since been released. The at-fault driver of the SUV was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
