GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Sundance Bar and Grille is moving. The local restaurant will be taking over the space formerly held by the Ottawa Tavern in the Waters Building.
Restaurant Partners owns the restaurant and spent more than half a million dollars on renovations to the new space. They have also added a few new menu items in anticipation of the move.
Jeff Lobdell, president of Restaurant Partnersis excited about the move. "We will be able to better serve our customers, provide a full service bar with more taps, expand out banquet facilities and create more jobs all while staying in the Grand Rapids Central Business District."
The new space is bigger than the current location and will have catering services, 30 more seats, and banquet facilities. But it will still have familiar décor and the charm of the old location.
The restaurant has hired 15 more people to help with the anticipated increase in customers. The new location on the corner of Ottawa and Pearl will open on Thursday.
