Stephanie's Blueberry Scones

2 cup flour
4Teaspoons baking powder
3/4 TS salt
1/4 sugar
4 TB butter
2 TB Crisco/shortening
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 beaten egg
1 cup fresh blueberries

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in medium size bowl. Cut in butter and Crisco into pea-like size pieces. Mix cream and egg together in small bowl until blended. Add blueberries to flour, butter mixture. Add cream mixture and combine with hands just until mixed thoroughly. Turn dough onto floured surface and form a log and cut or use biscuit cutter to form scones. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Brush scones with additional cream and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in preheated oven of 350 for 15 minutes or until done.
