GRAND HAVEN, Mich (WZZM) - The summer tourist season is winding down along the lakeshore. So far it looks like it this year was a success.

Marci Cisneros of the Grand Haven Area Convention and Visitors Bureau said while final figures won't be in for a fews months, indications are the summer of 2013 matched up with last year, which set a record for revenues.

"Comparing the data to last year, we've performed as good as or better than in some cases than we did last year," Cisneros said Saturday.

Veteran charter fishing boat Captain Willis Carriage said he and his colleagues have been busy. "The fishing's good as you can see, nice big kings this year - healthy fish appears to be a lot of bait fish just been overall a great year," Carriage said.
