In 2010, Mercy Health Saint Mary's opened the area's first Comprehensive Breast Center. Today, Mercy Health Muskegon introduces its brand new Comprehensive Breast Center, opening in October on the Lakeshore.

As the only centers of their kind in West Michigan, Mercy Health's Comprehensive Breast Centers deliver prompt, personal, specialized care for all aspects of breast health - both cancerous and non-cancerous.

Beginning Oct. 7, 2013, the 7,200-square-foot, $4- million center will provide women the most advanced breast cancer screening and treatment services - all under one roof - including:

MammoPlus™ - In addition to screening mammography, women are offered a National Cancer Institute breast cancer risk assessment to help identify her risk for developing breast cancer in the next five years... and over her lifetime.

RiskPlus™ - helps women identify their specific level of risk through genetic testing and counseling, and helps them manage and reduce that risk.

TeamPlus™ - provides patients with a coordinated team of breast health experts, all of whom work together to provide a collaborative, patent-centered, individualized plan of care.

DiagnosticPlus™ - gives women a closer look, with a clinical breast exam, diagnostic mammogram and a Breast MRI, improving the accuracy of diagnosis and monitoring response to treatment plans.

RapidResults™ - A Comprehensive Breast Center greatly reduces the number of days between diagnostic mammograms and biopsies to just a few days - sometimes even less than that.
