ASHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- An elderly driver has died and another driveris seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on M-37 in Newaygo County.
The collision happened around 2 p.m. Friday at the intersection of M-37 and Moore Road/22 Mile Road.
According to Michigan State Police, an 84-year-old westbound driver pulled in front of a northbound SUV. The elderly driver was killed and a 67-year-old woman in the SUV wastransported to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
Both the northbound and southbound sides of M-37 were closed for several hours because of the accident. M-37 reopened just after 5 p.m.
