WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) -- If you love red wine but hate what it does to your teeth, Wine Wipes claim they can wipe that wine off your smile.

20 wipes that look like little cotton pads come in a small compact. The pads are supposed to wipe the purple color from your teeth and lips without interfering with the taste of the wine.

Wine blogger, Allie Merrick from www.mywinewords.com agreed to help test them out. She slurped and swished her way through a bottle of Inkbery, an Australian red wine, until she reached that so-called "red badge of courage." Her teeth had a visible purple hue.

Allie said the wipes tasted a bit like dental floss, but fairly neutral. When she wiped her teeth, the purple showed up on the pad and she could definitely tell they made a difference.
When she went back to drinking wine, she said it did not change the flavor of the wine at all.

Wine Wipes sell for around $7 online for one compact and Allie said she'd definitely buy them and recommend them to other red wine drinkers. She said they fit in your purse and really work for anyone who loves red wine.
