ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) - "Movember," as Mens' Health Awareness Month is known, is ending Wednesday for Michigan State Police at the Rockford Post.

The post puts a bin in the lobby every year for Toys for Tots donations, but this year, 30 troopers decided to use Movember as a way to get more attention to the campaign. All month, they've grown out their moustaches and it has helped. The 'staches became conversation starters, giving troopers another opportunity to spread the word about kids needing toys for the holidays. More toys have been donated than usual and earlier in the season than ever before.

Wednesday at the Grand Haven Post, the toys collected so far will be handed over to the Marine Corps and there will also be a moustache judging competition, for fun. A few catagories include best & worst moustaches and most artistic.

Want to help? Although Movember is ending, you can still drop toys off in the lobby of the Rockford Post through the rest of the holiday season.
