Grand Rapids- If you are looking for an advance opportunity to see a Harlem Globetrotter up close before they come to Van Andel Arena®, here is your chance. "Flight Time" Lang will be appearing at The Salvation Army Kroc Center on Monday, January 20 at 1:00 PM to present the "ABCs of Bullying Prevention."

The program, which will last for approximately 40 minutes, will provide an opportunity for children and fans to have live interaction with the world-class athlete. In addition to showing off some of his incredible ball-handling skills, Flight Time will be discussing the bullying prevention program the Globetrotters created in coordination with the National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV). The "ABCs of Bullying Prevention" focuses on action, bravery, and compassion and is aimed at elementary school children to help them become more aware of the various types of bullying and how to stop them before they begin. Flight Time will encourage the children to interact in the program by posing questions for them to answer and may play a listening game and teach some children a few of his special ball-handling moves.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. Parents are welcome and kids ages 6-12 are encouraged to attend. The Salvation Army Kroc Center is located at 2500 South Division Avenue in Grand Rapids. The Harlem Globetrotters will be at Van Andel Arena on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 PM.
