WALKER, Mich.(WZZM) -- The Walker Fire Department has identified a man killed in a house fire Sunday evening.
Robert. J. Lillis Jr., 66, appeared to have a physical disability and could not get out of his home, located in the 1000 block of Needham Court NW.
Investigators believe the fire was caused by a malfunctioning appliance that started a fire in the in the kitchen.
It took 30 minutes for crews to put out the flames. They say the cold and wind made it difficult to fight the fire.
Lillis is survived by a cousin. An autopsy is pending.
