MUSKEGON, Mich.-On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Baker College of Muskegon is welcoming a new exhibit focused on racism.

"Hateful Things" is a traveling exhibit of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia from Ferris State University. Using materials from the late 19th century to present, the display is meant to illustrate how images can promote racism.

"Hateful Things" officially opened at Baker College of Muskegon Monday at noon. It will be free and open to the public through Thursday, Jan. 23.
