MomsBloom, Inc. announces their parenting class Freedom to Bloom: Coming into Your Own as a Mother, an 8-week series beginning Saturday, February 8th. The class meets from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM weekly until March 29th at Cedar Tree Birth & Wellness (915 Cherry St. Grand Rapids 49506).

In this class, a variety of experts will be addressing topics related to the blessings and the challenges of being a mother in today's society. MomsBloom is a local non-profit whose mission is to provide practical help, emotional support, and educational resources to the mothers of our community. The class aligns with the mission as they seek to arm mothers with the skills they need to take care of themselves so that they can then better care for their children.

Some of the class topics include: PPD vs. Baby Blues; Anxiety & Mommy Guilt; Changes in Mom Postpartum: Your Brain and Body; Complicated Births; and The Family: Siblings & Dads. The classes may be taken individually for $10 per session or as an entire series for $60 for all 8 weeks. Materials cost is included in the price. Child care will be provided upon request. Participants will be given the opportunity to further explore the topics covered between sessions. Special guest speakers will be in attendance and mother's self-care will be the predominant theme of the class.
