The Grand Rapids Griffins will play their playoff home-opener Wednesday night against a record-sized crowd.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) - The Grand Rapids Griffins will play their playoff home-opener Wednesday night against a record-sized crowd.

More than 6,000 people will be in the stands to cheer on the team as they attempt to shutout the Abbotsford Heat at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available at www.griffinshockey.com and at the doors of Van Andel Arena.

Preparation for the opening game are off to a great start. WZZM 13's Hannah Saunders was live Wednesday morning with Griff and some of the staff as they prepare for a fun night. Click the attached video for a preview of some of the family-friendly activities.
