GRAND RAPIDS, (WZZM) - Chuck Furman, who helped lunch the public broadcasting station WGVU has died. Furman was 73 years-old.

Grand Valley State University says Furman passed away Friday. Furman began working a WGVU in the early 1970's and was the station's first program manager.

Furman retired in 2005 and was inducted in the Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2006.
