GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- West Michigan has a new professional basketball team. The Grand Rapids Cyclones will play in the premiere basketball league at the Deltaplex.

The roster is comprised of players who starred at high schools and colleges in West Michigan.

"This city has a great culture for sports. With what the Whitecaps and Griffins have done of late to become successful and win championships, I think the perfect time would be now to have a basketball team come," said Cyclones founder Adam Chrisco.

The Cyclones first game is February 25 at the DeltaPlex against the Lake Michigan Admirals.
