EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - Detectives say a possible sighting of a missing Kalamazoo doctor did not pan out.
Kalamazoo County Detective William Sparrow says an employee of the Battle Creek Wal-Mart reported seeing a woman who resembled Patrick near the store's jewelry counter around 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1. Sparrow now says the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office confirmed the identity of the customer, and she was not Teleka Patrick.
Patrick, 30, disappeared Dec. 5 after telling some colleagues she was going to Chicago to visit a relative. She told another colleague she needed money and a ride to a nearby hotel. Police found her car in a ditch hours later along Interstate 94 in northern Indiana.
