ALLENDALE, Mich. (WZZM) - Students from schools in Kent and Ottawa Counties are gathering at Grand Valley State University on Saturday for the 30th annual Michigan Science Olympiad Regional Tournament.
The theme of this year's competition is "Bridge to the Future", and consist of events in biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, computers, and technology. The events combine academic, engineering, and design challenges.
The competition starts at 9:15 a.m. and last until 3:30 p.m., an awards ceremony follow at 4:30 p.m. Winners of the regional tournament advance to the state tournament at Michigan State University on April 26th.
