(WZZM) - Strong thunderstorms that moved through West Michigan Saturday caused severe property damage and knocked out power to thousands.
Trees and power lines are down because of the winds throughout west Michigan.
Several roads were closed because of downed power lines, trees, or water across the road.
M-37 just south of 120th was closed for several hours in Grant because of trees and power lines.
More than 70,000 customers in west Michigan are still without power as of 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Consumers Energy estimates that most people will have their power restored by late Monday night.
