GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A trumpeter and singer who has performed with Rod Stewart, Tom Petty and Tina Turner will headline the third annual GRandJazzFest in downtown Grand Rapids.
Organizers are announcing their performance lineup Wednesday for the August 16-17 event.
The headliner is Rick Braun, a vocalist and trumpeter who has performed with pop and jazz artists. He will be performing on Saturday, August 16.
The headliner on Sunday, August 17, will be flutist Alexander Zonjic, who has performed with orchestras across North America, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, and others.
The GRandJazzFest is a free event, thanks to a sponsorship by the DTE Energy Foundation, and will be held at Rosa Parks Circle.
Other performers include: Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra with Edye Evans Hyde, Cooper Hay Van Lente Group, Grupo Ayé, In The Tradition, Matt Marshak, Evidence Jazz Group, Demetrius "Krayon" Nabors, and the Robert Hurst Quintet.
